I met up with Erika Rose after conducting a interview with Om’Mas of SA-RA when he conveniently told me at the end of our conversation, “Do you know who this is?” I embarrassingly said, “No.” This is Erika Rose and I guess after stilling exuding a look of confusion Om’Mas stated the women that co-wrote A Woman’s Worth with Alicia Keys. Exactly…who knew? So a few weeks later Ms. Rose and I rapped about her endeavors and plans for 2007and what I found was Erika Rose is more than just a singer/songwriter she is a humanitarian that uses her music as a vessel to get her messages across. In an industry where sex sells Ms. Rose lets us know that’s only component that comprises who she is as a woman.
