Interestingly enough I bought the book today before I saw you post this article… It intrigued me… Especially after watching the Hip Hop: Beyond Rhymes and Beats movie Byron did… With that section where the white kid was talking about how he has been a “fan since hip hop started… Like ten years ago” LOL… Anyway… growing up in Portland there is a good amount of white kids with this front and I am curious to learn more about it… Thanks for the article and hopefully there will be more to come from Baraki… PS there should be a link or discussion area for those of us who have read your articles, books etc
Nuff Respek!
