Editor’s Note 020:

Happy New Year Hip-Hop!!! I know it’s been a minute and we’re so sorry for the delay I take full responsibility. Since it’s hard trying to get at different artists during the holiday break I decided to look in my own backyard and see what I could find. Low and behold DC has more than the Bush Administration and the famous Ben’s Chili Bowl. The first batch of artists featured are amazing in their own right. Although they’re all men don’t worry ladies you guys are represented in this issue as well, I can hear my mom now. Since some of you may or may not have heard of these folks we decided to give you an up close and personal interview of each individual, a good way to ease into the New Year. So sit back and check out how much more DC has after you scratch the surface.

This February is our One Year Anniversary Issue and all I’m going to say is Jay Electronica and Peanut Butter Wolf, if you don’t know who these cats are you have time. Happy New Year and may everyone have a prosperous one. Shouts out to Anthony “Gadget” Mims who did a hell of a job on this issue.
