Directors Tony Silver and Henry Chalfant made “Style Wars”, a hip hop documentary with emphasis on the art of graffiti. This film describes and displays the history of where graffiti originated, why it was done, and the stories that were told on the structures of New York City. There are multiple ways to express yourself in this world, in the words of hip hop artist Ta’Raach, “Love Somethin!”

I realize February is Black History Month, but I feel like hip hop needs a fresh reminder of who it is, and what it stands for. Hip Hop was labeled a criminal from day one but the individuals didn’t feed into it and portray the names and images that were forced on them. These cats made their own lane, lets make ours.
